I have been photographing my close friend Hana Mendel for the past couple of years. I look up to her as a photographer and a strong willed individual. Through our many photoshoots we explore personality, self image and religion, as those are central themes in her own life and work. Hana recently moved to Los Angeles and we planned one more photoshoot 36 hours before her departure across the country. I documented Hana’s final moments in her Columbus home.
