One month ago I got an opportunity to work on my first ever photo assignment for The LA Times 🎉

I had received a call from Brandon asking what I was currently doing and if I wanted to take some photos in an hour…Absolutely!
10 mins later I was in my vehicle being briefed on the project while fighting my way through the LA traffic.
Unsure of the space we would be shooting in, I decided to grabed some fabric from my small stash. In the briefing I was informed of this handshake the two main characters share in the film. After searching the poster I decided that was the backdrop! The split colors red & blue for fire & ice.
Upon arrival they moved the shoot location from one of the hotel rooms to a dinning room with some pretty crazy 11:30am natural light. No worries, as I immediately move forward with the backdrop idea.
25 minutes to quickly set up, test some light on the waitstaff and it’s showtime! The guys were awesome to meet and work with as we quickly snapped solo and duo photo options. I think we had around 10 minutes for the shoot…
and that’s a wrap!
A whirlwind of an afternoon that I will never forget :)
